Karina Ceballos Latin-blooded and born dancing the latin styles salsa, merengue, cumbia and samba this is a girl that was born to entertain. Since the age of 6 Karina has trained in ballet, tap and jazz as well as gymnastics and aerobics. Born in Chile, Karina was part of BAFOCHI, Chilean folk ballet company as well as working as an MC and Children Show Host around the country. Karina has been performing in some of Sydney's professional latin groups for the last 10 years and has a reputation for lighting up the stage with her passion and energy. "Dancing is therapy for your heart and your smile" Angela Moutinho Born and raised in Hungary, Angela trained in classical ballet and jazz at the Hungarian State Ballet School and with Endre Jeszenszky. After moving to Australia she trained at Dynamite Dance Studios, Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy, and recently Urban Dance Centre mastering various styles from ballet to hip hop. Being a singer-songwriter, actor as well as a dancer Angela has performed from a young age in various stage plays, movies and commercials in Hungary. Since moving to Australia she has appeared on Kerry-Anne Kennerly, choreographed for artists on Scout and Hip Hop TV and performed in various corporate functions, TV commercials and movies. Natasha Teys As a classically trained dancer of 25 years, Natasha has studied and performed a variety of styles including; Jazz (ATOD), Classical Ballet (RAD), Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Funk, Latin, and Contemporary. Originally from Brisbane, Natasha started performing from a young age. As a professional dancer, she has represented Australia’s talent nationally as well as internationally. Natasha has performed with the Australian Ballet School, Ballet Theatre of Queensland, Brazilian Touch Theatre Restaurant, Jupiters Casino Cabaret Show, and Viva Brasil Productions. Fernando Ebony Fernando always knows how to get the party started! For many years Fernando has been gracing the stage with his larger than life energy and charisma. Peruvian born, Fernando is an expert in Salsa, Samba, Merengue, Reggaeton, Son and the list goes on.....Fernando's smooth moves and shakin' sequens will get your audience up on their feet dancing in no time! Fernando is also a well respected and known teacher throughout Sydney with his 'Creative Latin Dance' classes. Suzie Montano Growing up with Jazz, Tap and Classical, Suzie always knew dancing was her passion and that there was more to discover than these conventional styles. Continuing through her teenage years with competing modern dance ensemble and onto studying a 4 year degree in Dance at UNSW, equipped her with more knowledge of choreography skills, technique, music appreciation, teaching techniques and performance. Feeling the need to diversify her repertoire during her university degree and through meeting her husband Santiago, she was introduced to the Street Latin Styles of Salsa, Merengue & Son. After working with Brazilian migrants in U.S.A was then given a real introduction into Brazilian styles of Samba and Zouk. Since then she has strengthened her Street Latin Styles through learning and performing with well known Sydney Latin Schools at corporate functions, weddings and festivals as well as travelling to Cuba and Brazil. Suzie is a co-director of La Bataola. Natalie Bednar Natalie has over 17 years of training and experience in dance. She trained in Classical Ballet on scholarship at The McDonald College of Performing Arts, whilst also learning Jazz, Contemporary and Hip Hop. Natalie toured the UK as a soloist with the Vienna Festival Ballet for their Spring season of Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Natalie was a dancer at theme parks Huis Ten Bosch in Japan and Luna Park Sydney. Natalie is currently a dancer / actor with Opera Australia for The Merry Widow and Don Giovanni. Natalie has taught at Mango Dance Studio, Step Up Dance Studio and Urban Dance Centre. In recent years Salsa, Samba and Latin have become her passion. Natalie is a co-director of La Bataola. Michael Elbridge With over 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Michael is a absolute professional when it comes to show biz. Coming from an acting background he has a wonderful presence with anything on stage. He has danced and choreographed for a swing group in Sydney, was featured as a dancer in a Panadol commercial and is currently working with Opera Australia in dancing / acting roles as well as stilt walking. Michael is available as a dancer, stilt walker or MC. Ricardo Scheihing One of La Bataola's original founders, Chilean born Ricardo is always a crowd favourite. With his infectious smile and cheeky nature Ricardo is famous for his Cuban moves. Ricardo has been teaching and performing mainly Cuban Salsa and Rueda for over a decade in Sydney and is well loved by his students and colleagues. Ricardo has been a key choreographer and director with La Bataola and continues to light up the stage every time. |
